Jana kept insisting that she absolutely had to see high-alpine green meadows. And where better to find them than along the Grossglockner High Alpine Road, at the viewpoint from Edelweißspitze?

From there, we set off for the summit of Baumgartkopf (2,623 m). It's a beautiful ridge trail with panoramic views on both sides. The most challenging part was definitely the final steep climb back to the parking lot.

In our case, this was already the fifth short hike of the day. The weather wasn't on our side, and there wasn't much left of the mountain views. That made the photos all the more beautiful, so at least something came out of the trip.

I would definitely rank this ridge trail among the most photogenic spots I've visited in Austria. I had been here before, for the second time, even though I usually don't like visiting the same places twice. That says it all.
