During this climbing, I found myself at the threshold of my mental strength. I sat on a wooden bench in front of the waterfall for about half an hour and enjoyed the views before I found the courage to climb the ferrata.
The track to the waterfall takes about half an hour to three quarters of an hour and during it you overcome several hundred meters of altitude. On summer days, however, you can refresh yourself either at the waterfall or later at Lake Achensee, which has such clear water that I have never seen anywhere else in Austria.
The first section of the climb is relatively easy, but be aware that the rock here is wet and can therefore be a bit slippery at times. This section is a B/C to C climbing difficulty, so nothing challenging.
In the second section, on the other hand, you will encounter an approximately 30 m long and physically very demanding climb of difficulty D. And as if that were not enough, the ferrata is very airy and in the upper part there is almost 100 meters of free fall below you, which is not pleasant for me personally.
If you are planning to take your climbing skills to a higher level, this ferrata is a great opportunity. However, I would definitely not recommend it for beginners.
Access from the paid parking lot to the waterfall.
